Andreas Kaplan (2015)

Andreas M. Kaplan (born October 5, 1977 in Munich ) is a German economist and professor of marketing and communication at the ESCP Business School .

Life

Kaplan started as a professor at the ESSEC Business School and at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (IEP de Paris). He then returned to his alma mater , the ESCP, where he was elected head of the Faculty of Marketing. From 2014 to 2017 Kaplan held the office of Dean of Studies , responsible for all study programs at the university with around 5000 students. Since 2017 he has been the rector of ESCP Europe Business School Berlin .

Kaplan obtained his doctorate at the University of Cologne and the École des hautes études commerciales de Paris and completed his habilitation at the Sorbonne . While writing his dissertation , he completed a research stay at INSEAD in Fontainebleau. He also received a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the École nationale d'administration (French university for administrative sciences) in Strasbourg, an MSc from the ESCP Business School and a BSc from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He is listed in the Marquis Who's Who in the World.
