Andreas Magg (* 1978 in Olching ) is a German local politician ( SPD ).

Career

Magg studied at the Technical University of Munich and at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and graduated with a degree in urban, economic and social geography. He worked in the municipal administration of Puchheim as an advisor to the mayor, as head of economic development and representative of the manager. He later worked as a freelance consultant for municipalities and political institutions.

Since 2001 he has chaired the local SPD branch in Olching and was elected to the local council for the first time in the local elections in March 2002. There he took over the chairmanship of the SPD parliamentary group and was elected youth officer. Two years later, he also moved to the Fürstenfeldbruck district council , to which he was re-elected in 2008 and 2014.

In the local elections in 2008 he was elected First Mayor of the municipality of Olching ; the term of office began on May 1, 2008. In the local elections on March 16, 2014 he was confirmed in office for a further six years.

28 September 2008 Magg was in the district elections in the Upper Bavarian elected county council. He was on the committee for five years and did not reapply in 2013.

During his term of office, Olching was elevated to the rank of city (June 19, 2011).

Honorary positions

Magg is, among other things, 2nd chairman of the Fürstenfeldbruck district music school and in 2012 a voting member of the building and planning committee of the Bavarian City Council (both since 2012) and chairman of the Bavarian Red Cross , Fürstenfeldbruck district association (since 2013).
