Andreas Maier (born September 10, 1987 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with Deggendorf Fire since 2009 .
Career
Andreas Maier went through all the youth teams of the Mannheim ERC and started in the German youth league in 2002 . He also went on the ice in the 2004/05 season for the men's team of the MERC in the Regionalliga . At the end of the same season he won the DNL championship with the "Young Eagles". Before the beginning of the following season he switched to the cooperation partner of the Mannheim club, the Heilbronner Falken in the league . For the Falcons, he completed 107 games in two seasons, in which he scored one goal and eleven assists. He also won the league championship of the 2006/07 season with the Falcons .
After this success he took part in the training camp of the Dresden ice lions and convinced the management of the ice lions so that they signed him. With the Eislöwen he made it to the 2nd Bundesliga and won the league championship.
In the 2009/10 season he played in the major league for Deggendorf Fire .
International
Andreas Maier took part in the U18 World Championship in 2005 , in which the U18 junior selection was able to prevent relegation from the A group of the World Championship.
