Andreas Netzle

Andreas Netzle (born May 9, 1959 in Münsterlingen ) is a Swiss journalist and politician .

Life

Andreas Netzle attended primary and secondary school in Diessenhofen and the canton school in Schaffhausen . He then studied German, philosophy and journalism at the University of Zurich and graduated with a master's degree.

He began his professional career as a trainee and national editor at Schaffhauser Nachrichten . He then went on to work as an editor of the Bundeshaus for the Schaffhauser Nachrichten, the Zürichsee-Zeitung and the Aargauer Tagblatt. In 1992 he became editor-in-chief of Hotel + Tourismus Revue and a member of the management of the Swiss Hotel Association in Bern. In 1997 he became editor-in-chief of the Solothurner Zeitung and a member of the management of Vogt-Schild AG. From 2001 to 2007 he was editor-in-chief of the Thurgauer Zeitung and a member of the management.

In November 2006 he was elected mayor (today: mayor ) of Kreuzlingen as a party independent , in March 2011 and March 2015 he was re-elected in this office.

At the end of July 2017, he resigned as mayor and took a position as head of corporate communications in the private sector. He has been a freelance communications consultant since 2019.
