Marion Pellissier (born September 16, 1988 in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne ) is a former French ski racer . She started in all disciplines and was most successful in the combined World Cup .

biography

Pellissier competed in her first FIS races in November 2003. In January 2006, she competed in the European Cup for the first time. In the 2008/09 season she won her first European Cup race, before that she was only twice in the top ten. Her first start in the World Cup was the super combination in Crans-Montana on March 9, 2008. Pellissier took part in Junior World Championships twice: in 2007 her best result was 12th in the slalom, in 2008 she came 7th in the downhill.

At the only European indoor championship on November 7, 2009 in Amnéville , France , Pellissier won the bronze medal in slalom. On December 18, 2009, she scored points for the first time in her fourth World Cup race, the super combination of Val-d'Isère , when she reached tenth place. After that she stayed a few races without World Cup points until she came close to the top ten again in the 2010/11 season with places eleven and twelve in the super combinations of Åre and Tarvis . On January 27, 2012 she finally achieved her second top 10 result in the World Cup as tenth in the super combined in St. Moritz .

After suffering a cruciate ligament rupture in her right knee in September 2012 , Pellissier had to sit out the entire 2012/13 season. As a result, it was no longer able to build on the achievements of previous years and was increasingly used in the European Cup. In the 2014/15 season she won the European Cup combined ranking. Another cruciate ligament tear, this time in her left knee, meant that she missed another season in 2015/16. After a few races in winter 2016/17, she announced her resignation in March 2017.
