Andreas Pöschel (born November 10, 1967 in Bielefeld ) is a German food stylist and chef .

Career

Pöschel is the youngest of six siblings, his mother comes from a baker's family and his father is a geologist . After attending the vocational school for nutrition in Bielefeld (1983 to 1985), Pöschel completed an apprenticeship as a chef in the Habichtshöhe restaurant in Bielefeld from 1985 to 1987 . In 1988 he was a chef in Gerhard Heise's restaurant "Grand Cru" in Lippstadt , and in the same year he was three times German youth chef champion. After his community service (1988 to 1989) he worked as chef de cuisine in the Méditerranée restaurant in Bielefeld from 1990 to 1992 , then as a sous chef in the "Rocca Nettuno" restaurant in Tropea , Calabria in 1993, and from 1994 to 1995 he sat in various Munich restaurants.

In 1995 he worked as a food stylist in the "Eising-Studio" in Munich and as a cook in the "Noodles" restaurant in Bielefeld, in the same year he was involved in cookbook productions and food styling projects with the food photographer Bernd Lippert in Tokyo and Bielefeld.

In 1996 he graduated from the master school in Munich and received the Bavarian master prize. From 1997 he worked with the food styling icon Wolfgang Helmentag worldwide and opened the Pöschel cooking studio in Bielefeld in 1998. As a food stylist, Andreas Pöschel supports film teams, directors, cameramen, photographers and advertising agencies in difficult situations. He has participated in around 300 TV productions. Every year he organizes courses on various topics for amateur chefs and cooking enthusiasts. Andreas Pöschel is married and has three children.
