Andreas Reuss (writer)

Andreas Reuss (born October 12, 1954 in Bamberg ) is a German writer, photographer, teacher, philosopher and local politician.

Life

Reuss studied German and Catholic theology in Regensburg and Würzburg. In Regensburg he attended lectures by Joseph Ratzinger , who also signed his church teaching license Missio Canonica. Since 1980 Reuss has taught at grammar schools in Munich, Höchstadt an der Aisch, Spardorf and Ebermannstadt.

In 1977 he began to write cultural articles for newspapers and magazines, some he wrote together with Stefan Fröhling. Since 2012 Reuss has also been writing larger essays for the Bamberg online newspaper . He writes and publishes and composed a libretto for a large choral and orchestral work. Stefan Fröhling is co-author of many of his publications, including biographical works and detective novels with the fictional character Dr. Philipp Laubmann. He is also the author of artistic and documentary photographs. Since the beginning of the 1980s, Reuss has been committed to nature conservation and monument preservation in Bamberg, since 1989 as a co-founder of the association “Bewetzt die Bergstadt” eV (1996–2008 First Chairman) and from 2008 to 2020 (with an interruption from May to September 2014) as City councilor for the GAL faction .
