Andreas Taubert

Andreas Taubert (* 1964 in Leipzig ) is a German photographer.

As a teenager, Taubert attended the children's and youth sports school in Frankfurt (Oder) , where he was a roommate of Henry Maske . He then learned a precision mechanic , but already started sports photography in those years. In the late 1980s he worked as a photo reporter for GDR newspapers such as the Junge Welt and the magazine Neues Leben .

Since then he has worked for various magazines and companies. In the past he was involved in building up the development projects (magazines) of Gruner + Jahr AG and Heinrich Bauer Verlag as a photographer. As one of the few photographers he was allowed to take several photos in North Korea . Since then he has been committed to this country and collects donations for Welthungerhilfe through photo exhibitions and lectures. After his photojournalistic work, he now focuses on advertising photography. He works in Berlin and Mainz. Andreas Taubert was awarded the "Culture Prize 2005" for photography by the Culture Foundation in the Mainz-Bingen district. He is a member of the photo agency “Bilderberg - Archive of Photographers”.
