Andreas Varady (born July 24, 1997 in Rimavská Sobota ) is a Slovak / Hungarian-born jazz guitarist .

Varady was born in Slovakia to a Roma family. At the age of four he learned to play the guitar from his father Bandi . In 2007 the family moved to Limerick , Ireland . It was here that Varady was discovered by the producer and drummer David Lyttle, who integrated him into his band and released his first sound carrier with him, the duo album Questions . In 2011 Varady performed with his quartet in Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club ; at the age of thirteen he was the youngest artist to have given concerts there. In April 2011, he made it onto the cover of the Guitar Player magazine . He also appeared at festivals in France as well as at the Montreux Jazz Festival .

In 2013 Varady was signed by Quincy Jones for his artist agency. In August 2014, the self-titled solo debut album was released on the Verve record label .
