Andreas Weidner

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Andreas Weidner (* 4. September 1956 in Berlin ) is a German photographer and photo teacher .

Life

His classic landscape photographs are the result of consistent application of the zone system with the large format camera . Weidner is a representative of fine art photography in the tradition of the group f / 64 around Ansel Adams , Edward Weston and Imogen Cunningham .

He is a member of the Association of Freelance Photo Designers (BFF) and the German Society for Photography (DGPh). He is also the founder of the Forum for Visuelle TonArt.

Weidner also teaches the hybrid process , i.e. the scanning of analog recordings and their digital processing. He tries to convey the technical advantages over the classic work in the darkroom (photography) . Here, too, the starting point remains the pre-visualized image, the creation of which already takes into account all subsequent manual and technical steps in order to be able to work out a "fine art print" as the result. In 2008 Andreas Weidner published "Digilog", which deals with this topic in a vivid way.
