Andreas Wiemer (* 11. March 1966 in Warburg ) is a German television journalist and Satire - author .

Life

From 1989 Wiemers studied political science at the University of Cologne . As a freelancer, he reported for Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger , Deutschlandfunk , Radio NRW and Radio Köln . Andreas Wiemers has been working as a television author since 1993, initially for the then news broadcaster VOX from 1993 , then for WDR . Here he produced contributions for the WDR media show Parlazzo, the youth magazine Lollo Rosso and the programs ZAK and the similar magazine Privatfernsehen .

In 1997, ZDF brought Andreas Wiemers to the political magazine Kennzeichen D in Berlin . He produced his first television satires a little later for the ZDF morning magazine . At the beginning of 2001, Andreas Wiemers was part of the founding team of the political magazine Frontal21 . He conceived the satire film series Toll! . Together with Werner Doyé , he produces weekly current episodes. Since 2004, ZDF has been broadcasting the satirical review of the year by the satirical team Wiemers & Doyé every December. A film by Andreas Wiemers and Hans Koberstein was shown on August 15, 2018 in the series ZDFzoom under the title “Auto gegen Fahrrad” . The documentary showed how dangerous cycling is in city centers and how resistance against the concept of the “car-friendly city” is emerging in various cities. The show had 1.71 million viewers and was the market leader with a market share of 10%. In 2013, Andreas Wiemers, together with Christian Esser , Birte Meier and Dana Nowak, was the author of the documentary The Non-voters, which was published three days after the general election on September 25th. was first broadcast on ZDFinfo. On the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall , Werner Doyé and Andreas Wiemers produced the mockumentary The Black Channel Returns , which ZDF broadcast on the evening of November 9, 2009. Together with Hans Koberstein and Werner Doyé, Andreas Wiemers produced the documentary Die Macht der Bureaukraten in 2005 .

In Carlsen Verlag Andreas Wiemer and Werner Doyé released three political satire Books: Where the little laws actually come from? (2009), Fall of the Berlin Wall a Giant Deception (2009) and Great! A book! (2008).

Werner Doyé and Andreas Wiemers have been nominated six times for the Adolf Grimme Prize : The Black Channel Returns (2010), satire series Toll! (2010, 2008, 2007), the satirical annual review on ZDF (2009 and 2017).

Since April 2018 radioeins has been broadcasting the “Hot Shit” section by Werner Doyé and Andreas Wiemers every week. The three-minute satirical reports run on Fridays at the end of the program “The beautiful week”.
