Andrei Glanzmann (born March 27, 1907 in Epenes , Austria-Hungary , † June 23, 1988 ) was a Romanian football player . He played 36 games in the highest Romanian soccer league, Divizia A , and took part in the first soccer world championship in 1930 .

Career

Glanzmann started his career at CAO Oradea . In 1930 he played for a short time for Ripensia Timișoara , which as a professional team at that time was not allowed to participate in the games for the Romanian football championship. He returned to CAO that same year.

When the Romanian professional league Divizia A was founded in 1932 , CAO was one of the founding members and Glanzmann came on October 9, 1932 for his first assignment. Although he was a striker, he rarely scored goals in the championship games. Glanzmann had his greatest success in 1935 when he was runner- up with CAO . Then he ended his career.

National team

Glanzmann played 13 games for the Romanian national soccer team and scored two goals. Without having previously played an international match, national coach Costel Rădulescu nominated him for the squad of the Football World Cup in Uruguay in 1930 , but did not use him. So he came to his first assignment on May 10, 1931 against Bulgaria . In the same year he won the Balkan Cup .
