Andrei Yevgenyevich Belogrud

Andrei Evgenjewitsch Belogrud ( Russian Андрей Евгеньевич Белогруд ; * 1875 in Zhytomyr ; † July 19, 1933 in Krasnogwardeisk ) was a Russian architect and university professor .

Life

Belogrud studied architecture from 1901 to 1910 at the Imperial Art Academy in St. Petersburg with LN Benois . He then became a lecturer at the Art Academy (1912–1928), whose rector he was 1920–1922 and whose architecture faculty he headed as dean from 1922–1928 . He also taught at the Polytechnic Women's College (1912–1925) and then at the Polytechnic University of St. Petersburg (1926–1930).

In 1910 Belogrud built together with SG Ginger AI Bashkirows Sporting Palace on Kamennoostrowski Prospect No. 42 in St. Petersburg. This was followed in 1912–1913 by a house by the architect KI Rosenstein on the Great Prospect of the Petrograd side no. 77, which Rosenstein had started himself. At the same street No. 102 in 1914 he completed the house of the architect JI Gonzkewitsch , which he had begun in 1912 and in which Belogrud lived until his death. At the intersection of this street with Kamennoostrowski Prospect, Belogrud completed Rosenstein's house with the towers in 1915 , which Rosenstein had begun in 1913. Belogrud built a dacha for himself in Gatchina .

Belogrud led a project to restructure Stalingrad . He was a member of the executive board of the Society of Architects and Artists and later that of the Leningrad Union of Soviet Architects .

Belogrud was buried in the Leningrad Novodevichy Cemetery.
