biography

Loginov attended the Art School in Minsk from 1983 to 1993, where he received classical painting training. He later enrolled at the newly founded European University for the Humanities in the Faculty of Modern Art in Minsk, then moved to Germany in 1997 to the Düsseldorf Art Academy , where he worked for a year as a visiting student with Gerhard Merz .

From 1999 he studied in the department of the sculptor Magdalena Jetelová . In 2004 Loginov became a master student and worked on projects with an increasing impact on photography.

Work and reception

Andrei Loginov began his painting practice with a 10-year training in Minsk, during which he experienced practically all current forms of expression and styles of modern and traditional painting. Loginov is currently working in the field of sculpture and photography and combines these into a new dimension of “photogenic sculpture” that transcends media, in which he transfers dimensions of matter, movement and sensation into indefinable forms of transition.
