Andrei Lungu (born January 29, 1989 in Cluj-Napoca ) is a Romanian football player in defensive midfield . He has been playing for CS Juventus Bucharest since mid-2017 .

Career

Cretu started playing football in his birthplace near Ardealul Cluj-Napoca. This was followed by a six-year stay at Sportul Studențesc . There he completed his first professional games in the top Romanian league in the 2010/11 season . In the following season he scored five goals in 30 games, but could not prevent relegation to League II . In 2013 he moved to Universitatea Cluj , where he played in the first division again. At the Cupa României 2014/15 he was in the final with Universitatea Cluj, which they lost to Steaua Bucharest 3-0. After the end of the 2014/15 season , Lungu was without a club for a short time. In September 2015 he joined the Israeli association Hapoel Petach Tikwa . In January 2016, FC Energie Cottbus signed Lungu. He received a contract valid until 2017. He only played seven games without scoring a goal.

After he was relegated to the regional league with Cottbus, he left the club in summer 2016. Lungu moved to the highest Romanian league for FC Voluntari . There he mostly came on as a substitute. At the beginning of 2017, the Israeli second division team Hapoel Ironi HaScharon signed him . Half a year later he returned to Romania, where he joined CS Juventus Bucharest .
