Andrei Wiktorowitsch Kudinow ( Russian Андрей Викторович Кудинов ; born June 28, 1970 in Chelyabinsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player who played for HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the Russian super league from 1990 to 2004 .

Career

Andrei Kudinow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth of the HK tractor Chelyabinsk , for whose professional team he made his debut in the 1990/91 season in the second-rate Vysschaya League and rose to the Super League in his rookie year . After the attacker in the 1992/93 season with tractor Chelyabinsk CIS runner-up, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 1993 in the tenth round as a total of 242nd player by the New York Rangers , for which he never played. Instead, the Russian ran from 1993 to 1996 for their farm team from the American Hockey League , the Binghamton Rangers .

He then returned to Russia, where he spent the following six seasons at HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , with whom he was Russian champion in 1999 and 2001 respectively . He also won the European Hockey League with his team in 1999 and 2000 , and the Russian Cup in 1998. In the 1997/98 season Kudinow failed with Metallurg in the final for the championship at Ak Bars Kazan . In the summer of 2002, the left shooter received a contract with HK Metschel Chelyabinsk from his hometown, with whom he was relegated to the Vysschaya League at the end of the season. He then left the club and joined the first division side Chimik Voskressensk before moving to the second division Molot-Prikamje Perm in the course of the 2003/04 season, where he ended his career in 2004.
