Andreina Byrd

Andreina Kero , until her wedding Andreina Byrd , (born August 21, 1978 in Heidelberg ) is a German long-distance runner .

Life

In 1996 she became German youth champion over 5000 meters. The following year she won over 15 kilometers and was nominated for the Junior European Championships , as she reached sixth place over 5000 meters. In the adult category she was fifth at the German Championships in 2001 over 5000 meters. In 2003 she achieved the same place in the hall over 3000 meters.

In 2004 Kero was sixth in the hall over 3000 meters. In the outdoor season she came eighth over 10,000 meters and at the German cross championships she was seventh. After Irina Mikitenko failed, she was nominated for the European Cross Country Championships , where the German team reached fourth place. In addition, she won the German University Championship over 3000 meters that year . In 2005 she was second at the German Indoor Championships over 3000 meters.

Kero started for LAC Frankenthal, ABC Ludwigshafen , Schweriner SC and MTG Mannheim . She studied medicine and cell / molecular biology and married the Finnish runner Jukka Kero in 2009 .
