Andrej Vasiljević (born September 23, 1993 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian ice hockey goalkeeper who was most recently under contract with the Slough Jets from the English Premier Ice Hockey League .

Career

Andrej Vasiljević began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the KHL Medveščak Zagreb , for whose second team he made his professional debut in the multinational Slohokej League in the 2009/10 season when he was substituted on in his only season appearance at the end of the game. In the 2010/11 season , the Croatian was a substitute goalkeeper for Medveščak in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga and for the Zagreb team in the Slohokej Liga, while he was mainly for the Zagreb team in the U20 Junior League of Slovenia between the posts. He was also Croatian champion with the Medveščak in 2010 and 2011 .

In the 2012/13 season he played for the U20 juniors of the HK 36 Skalica , before he went to KHL Medveščak Zagreb in 2013, but was hardly used there. From January 2014 he played for the Slough Jets from the English Premier Ice Hockey League .

International

For Croatia , Vasiljević took part in the junior division in the U18 Junior C World Championships 2010 and 2011 and the U20 Junior B World Championship in 2010 . At the U18-C World Cup 2011 he was named the best goalkeeper in Group A.
