Andrew Henry van de Ven

Andrew Henry van de Ven (born October 30, 1945 in Schijndel , Netherlands) is a Dutch economist. His specialty is research on organizational innovation and change.

Life

In 1967 Andrew Henry van de Ven graduated from St. Norbert College with a Bachelor of Business Administration . Two years later he received an MBA and in 1972 a Ph. D. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison . In 1972 van de Ven received a Ph. D. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He was then a lecturer at Kent State University until 1975 . From 1975 to 1981 van de Ven taught at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he became a full professor in 1980. In 1981 van de Ven moved to the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, where he was 3M Professor until 1992. In 1983 he became an adjunct professor at the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs . Andrew van de Ven has been Vernon H. Heath Professor of Organizational Innovation and Change since 1993 .
