Andrew Hoepfner
Andrew Hoepfner is an American composer, singer and theater director from New York . He became known as the bassist in the bands Saturday Looks Good to Me , Darwin Deez and as the singer and composer of his own band Creaky Boards . In the meantime he has devoted himself to his theater project Houseworld and worked as a session and live musician with David Byrne , among others .

Andrew Hoepfner is from Michigan and moved to New York in the mid-2000s. There he quickly gained a foothold in the local music scene and formed the band Creaky Boards . Hoepfner then joined their guitarist Darwin Deez as a bassist. In 2009, Andrew Hoepfner accused Coldplay of copying parts of her song " Viva La Vida " from the Creaky Boards song "The Songs That I Didn't Write". After several international tours as the bassist of Darwin Deez, Hoepfner founded the short-lived project "Give To Light" and toured as bassist with the New York band Caged Animals .

Hoepfner received a lot of attention in 2015 with the theater project Houseworld, which he developed and implemented as a director and producer. For the project, Hoepfner and his team transformed an old rectory in Flatbush into a dream-like environment. Actors played in the various rooms and involved the audience in the play. Houseworld won over the press in the United States. The New York Times said it was positive about Houseworld.
