Andrew Paul McAfee (* 1967 ) is the co-director of the "MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy" and deputy director of the "Center for Digital Business" at the MIT Sloan School of Management . His research is devoted to the question of what effects modern information technologies have on the business world.

life and work

In 1988, McAfee received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering . In 1990 he completed a business degree and in 1999 received a doctorate from Harvard Business School .

He is the author of Enterprise 2.0 , which was published by Harvard Business School Press in November 2009. He is also co-author of the book Race Against the Machine with Erik Brynjolfsson . In 2014 the authors expanded this work into the book The Second Machine Age . In 2015 it received the German Business Book Prize .

research

In 2006 McAfee coined the term " Enterprise 2.0 " in an article for the Sloan Management Review.

McAfee publishes a well-read blog that Technorati says is one of the 10,000 most-read blogs in the world.
