Andrew Taylor (born July 24, 1985 in Dubbo ) is a former Australian track cyclist who specialized in short-term disciplines.

Athletic career

As a junior driver, Andrew Taylor was third in each national track championship in 2003 in scratch and sprint . In the following years he took regular podium places in team sprints and keirin at Australian championships . In 2011 he won the bronze medal in the team sprint at the Oceanic Cycling Championships with Alex Bird and James Glasspool .

In 2013 Taylor was two-time Australian champion, in Keirin and together with Jamie Green and Mitchell Bullen in the team sprint. At the track world championships in the same year he finished fourth in the Keirin. In 2014 he won the silver medal in the Keirin of the Oceanic Championships and was again two-time Australian champion, in the sprint and team sprint with Jamie Green.

Miscellaneous

In 2014 Andrew Taylor was voted “Sports Person of the Year” in his hometown of Dubbo.
