Andrew Zimmer

Andrew Zimmer (born July 4, 1961 in New York , USA ) is an American showmaster , journalist and author . He became known through the show Der Alles-Eater - This is how the world tastes .

Career

Zimmer was born in New York , where he grew up. The Jewish Zimmer attended Dalton School and then Vassar College . Afterwards he worked as a manager or manager of various restaurants, gave lectures and wrote his first books.

In the early 1990s, Zimmer was addicted to drugs, alcohol and homeless. During this time he stole money in order to survive.

He was head chef at Café Un Deux Trois for almost five years. There he gained a lot of culinary experience. In 2006 he first appeared on the Travel Channel with Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmer . In 2009 the show was renamed Andrew Zimmer's Bizarre World . In 2012 there was a spin-off of the previous programs with Bizarre Foods America .

Zimmer is married and has one son. He lives with his family in Edina , Minnesota .
