Andrij Leonydowytsch Hussin ( Ukrainian Андрій Гусін , Russian Андрей Гусин / Andrei Gussin ; born December 11, 1972 in Solochiv , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ; † September 17, 2014 in Kiev ) was a Ukrainian football player . From August 2013 to May 2014 he was assistant trainer at Anzhi Makhachkala .

Career

From 1996 he played at Dynamo Kiev , where he qualified as a midfielder and was an indispensable part of the team for years. In the Ukrainian league he scored a total of 31 goals in 163 games. In the European Cup he scored 5 goals in 50 matches. In the 2004 season, Hussin moved to the Russian Premjer League to Krylya Sowetow Samara , where he was under contract until 2007. He then played two seasons with league rivals Saturn Ramenskoje . In 2009 he was signed by FK Chimki .

Andrij Hussin was one of the central players in the Ukrainian national soccer team for years and was appointed to the 23-man squad for the 2006 soccer World Cup by the Ukrainian national coach Oleh Blochin .

Andrej Hussin died on September 17, 2014 in an accident on the Chaika motor racing circuit near Kiev and was buried in the Kiev Baikowe cemetery .
