Andrius Baranauskas

Andrius Kazys Baranauskas (born February 4, 1947 in Liūlinė , Švenčionys Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian politician, member of the Seimas .

Life

After graduating from high school from 1953 to 1964 at the Švenčionėliai Middle School , he worked as a teacher from 1964 to 1965 in the Grybai and Vaiškūnai elementary schools . From 1965 to 1966 and from 1972 to 1974 he was an employee, first and then second secretary at Komsomol of Soviet Lithuania in Švenčionys . From 1966 to 1970 he graduated as a forest engineer at the Faculty of Forestry of Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija . From 1971 he worked as a research assistant at the chair for forest management at the academy. From 1971 to 1972 he served in the Soviet Army. From 1974 he lived in Utena . From 1974 to 1981 he headed a subdivision for industry and transport of the section in the district of Utena of the Lietuvos komunistų partija . From 1981 to 1989 he was the first secretary of the LKP of the Raseiniai district . From 1984 to 1986 he studied at the Academy for Social Sciences at the Central Committee of the CPSU and in 1989 completed his postgraduate degree . From 2003 to 2004 he was the representative of Lietuvos verslo darbdavių konfederacija in the government of Lithuania and in the Seimas . From 2004 to 2008 he was a member of the Seimas.

From 2003 he was a member of the Darbo partija , from 2006 of the Pilietinės democijos partija .
