Ontronik Khachaturian

Ontronik " Andy " Khachaturian (born May 4, 1975 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American musician, producer and DJ of Armenian descent.

Career

Khachaturian became known as a co-founder of the metal band System of a Down , where he worked as a drummer until 1997 . Although no longer part of the band, Khachaturian was asked by "SOAD" member Daron Malakian on December 4, 1999, shortly before a stage appearance, to take over the vocal part of Serj Tankian during a concert, as he was sick that day.

From 1999 to 2002 Khachaturian was the lead singer of the American rock band The Apex Theory , and since 2004 he has been the singer of the band VoKee, which he founded. Khachaturian also worked with the British sound engineer and music producer Alan Moulder .
