Athletic career

Kocijan, son of the Austrian international Tomislav Kocijan , began his career in the youth team of SK Sturm Graz before playing for one year at SV Gössendorf in Styria for the 2007/08 season . In 2008 he moved to the Graz suburb FC Gratkorn , where he came to three missions in the second team, which played in the Styrian regional league. Then he went to the south of Styria for five games for league rivals SVL Flavia Solva , where he scored two goals in those games and was able to celebrate promotion to the Middle Regional League with the Flavians.

In 2009, after only two months in Wagna , he returned to Sturm and was used with the amateurs. Kocijan made his first game in the Regionalliga Mitte before moving to Flavia Solva on May 7, 2010 against SV Allerheiligen when he came on for Daniel Schmölzer in the 86th minute. In the winter of 2011 he moved to the Styrian national league for SV Pachern for a year and a half, where he was able to draw attention to himself again with 13 goals in 36 appearances.

Therefore he returned to the amateurs and played again in the third highest Austrian division. After good performance, Kocijan made his Bundesliga debut under coach Markus Schopp in the Graz first team . The striker came on as a substitute for Martin Ehrenreich in the 43rd minute on the last match day of the 2012/13 season against SC Wiener Neustadt , which took place on May 26, 2013 .
