Ang Chen Xiang (born July 3, 1994 ) is a Singaporean hurdler who specializes in the 110-meter distance .

Athletic career

Ang Chen Xiang gained his first international experience in 2011 when he was eliminated in the first round at the World Youth Championships near Lille with 14.69 s. He then took part in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Douglas , where he finished sixth in 14.29 s over the U18 hurdles. In 2015 he took part in the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore for the first time, but was eliminated with 14.38 seconds. The following year he took part in the 60-meter hurdles at the Asian Indoor Championships in Doha , where he set a new national record with 8.16 seconds, but did not make it to the final. In 2017 he finished fifth at the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur in 14.55 s and previously set a national record over 110 m hurdles in Bangkok with 14.19 s. Two years later he failed at the Asian Championships in Doha with 14.25 s in the first round and at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas he reached eighth place in 14.49 s.
