Angela Piggford

Angela Piggford ( Angela Mary Piggford, married Gilmour ; born August 17, 1963 in Gateshead ) is a former British sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .

At the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1986 , she was eighth in the individual competition and won silver with the English team in the 4-by-400-meter relay .

In 1988 she came in sixth place in the British 4 x 400 meter relay at the Olympic Games in Seoul . At the European Athletics Indoor Championships she was over 400 m in 1989 in The Hague fourth and in 1990 in Glasgow fifth.

In 1990 she was sixth in the individual competition at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland and won the English relay. At the European Athletics Championships in Split she reached the semifinals.

In 1983 she was Scottish and 1986 British champion over 400 m.
