Angela Romei (born February 20, 1997 in Monopoli ) is an Italian curler .

Career

Romei's first international competition was the European Junior Challenge 2014, the qualifying tournament for the Junior World Championship at the time . As a substitute, she won the competition and took part in the 2014 Junior World Championship with the Italian team in this position . She finished ninth with Veronica Zappone as Skip. The following year she took second place in the European Junior Challenge and finished fourth. At the follow -up tournament , the Junior B World Championship in 2016, she played as the skip of the Italian team and came in ninth and the following year she came in 14th place.

Romei played for the first time in the 2014 European Championship as a substitute for Veronica Zappone's team. At the European Championships 2017 she won the bronze medal as lead in the team led by Diana Gaspari . In the same year, she moved into the final against China at the qualifying tournament for the 2018 Winter Olympics , but lost the game against Wang Bingyu's team . Since the game for the second qualifying place against the team from Denmark around Denise Dupont was lost, she missed participation in the games in Pyeongchang .
