Angelo Pasquini

Angelo Pasquini (born May 1, 1948 in Rome ) is an Italian journalist , screenwriter and film director .

Life

Pasquini graduated in literary studies and worked in the mid-1960s for some underground magazines such as "Zut" and "A / Traverso", later worked for "Radio Alice" and in 1977 was the founder and co-editor of the weekly satirical magazine "Il Male". From 1982 he wrote for numerous magazines such as "Linus", "Tango" and "Nuova Ecologia" 85, for radio and television. From 1992 to 1996 he gave courses for scriptwriters at the CSC and other training institutions, such as the University of Padua .

Since 1988 Pasquini has been writing screenplays that testify to a profound knowledge of the country and combine humor and tragedy in the representation of reality; including praised works such as Domani accadrà , Il portaborse and Sud . He also wrote two episodes of Il commissario Montalbano . In 1997 he made his debut as a director with Santo Stefano about the reformer of prisons. He enjoys working with and for Michele Placido . In 2013 he received the David di Donatello , the Silver Ribbon and the Ciak d'oro for the best screenplay for Roberto Andòs Viva la libertà .
