Angelus copper
Angelus Kupfer OSB , (born January 19, 1900 in Weppersdorf an der Aisch as Hans Kupfer ; † July 8, 1951 in Munich ) was the 34th abbot of the Ettal Benedictine abbey .
Life
Hans Kupfer made his profession on September 12, 1920 , after which he studied philosophy, theology and classical philology in Rome, Munich and Würzburg. He was ordained a priest on September 19, 1924, and in 1926 he received his doctorate in philosophy in Rome . He was first a prefect and high school teacher in Ettal. On October 21, 1933 he was elected abbot, on November 26, 1933 he received the benediction . From 1945 to 1950 he was director of the school and boarding school in Ettal.
He died on July 8, 1951 in Munich and is buried in Ettal.
