Ani Takidze ( Georgian ანი ტაკიძე , Ani Takidze , born December 13, 1972 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian pianist .

Career

Takidze's talent was recognized early on. From the age of seven she attended a music high school for gifted children in her hometown and later the State Conservatory. She then came to Munich in 2002 on a DAAD scholarship , where she obtained a master class diploma from Franz Massinger and Helmut Deutsch (Lied interpretation) at the Musikhochschule . She has played with orchestras such as the Tbilisi State Symphony Orchestra, the Trier State Theater, the Munich Symphony Orchestra and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. She recorded works by Schumann, Brahms, Chopin and Ravel for Bayerischer Rundfunk. A CD production with works by Bach, Schubert and Schumann was made in the great hall of the Moscow Conservatory in 2003.

Ani Takidze also gives regular concerts at music festivals in her native Georgia and performs throughout Europe with piano recitals and concerts with an orchestra.
