Anica Matzka-Dojder

Anica Matzka-Dojder (born September 1, 1953 in Vukićevci , Yugoslavia ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 2001 to 2015 she was a member of the State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

education and profession

Anica Matzka-Dojder was born in Yugoslavia and graduated from Novi Sad in 1972 . After graduating from high school , she emigrated to Austria and entered the nursing profession in 1973. Between 1978 and 1982 she attended part-time training as a health and nursing specialist and from 1983 worked in various management positions. In 1989 she completed further training for senior nurses and has been working as a head nurse at the Baumgarten geriatric center since 1989 . In addition to her work, Matzka-Dojder was involved in humanitarian aid projects in the former Yugoslavia during the war, particularly in Bosnia. She herself led aid transports that led to the combat area. She was also a project manager for international aid projects, including for CARE .

From 1996 to 1998 Matzka-Dojder attended the university course at the Faculty of Integrative and Social Science in Vienna (management for social areas). She has been the Academic Head of the Nursing Service (Academic Nursing Manager) since 1998.

Anica Matzka-Dojder was a staff representative from 1977 to 1990. She first became known to the public through her commitment to aid projects and the establishment of the Peace Dialogue with friends in Vienna in 1991. In 1994 she was nominated for Woman of the Year by journalists . In 1996 Matzka-Dojeder ran for the first time for the Vienna City Council. In 2001 she made it into the state parliament and was a member of the Vienna state parliament and a member of the Vienna municipal council until 2015. During the 18th legislative period, she was a member of the “Health and Social Affairs” committee.

Private

Anica Matzka-Dojder is married to Manfred Matzka , Section Head in the Federal Chancellery . She has no children.
