Martina Ludwig-Faymann
Martina Ludwig-Faymann (born March 26, 1967 in Vienna ) is an Austrian journalist and politician ( SPÖ ). She has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament since January 1996 and thus a member of the Vienna City Council.
education and profession
Martina Ludwig attended an elementary school from 1973 to 1977 and then a general secondary school until 1986 . After attending a high school , she passed the high school diploma in 1988 with an external proficiency test .
After graduating from high school, Ludwig worked for the Socialist Youth in Vienna, where she became state secretary. She also worked for the Young Vienna Association from 1988 to 1989 , was a freelance journalist from 1990 to 1991 and an editor at the Press and Information Service of the City of Vienna ( MA 53 ) from 1991 to 1993 . In 1993 she rose to the position of press spokesperson for the Education, Youth, Family, Social Affairs and Women's Issues business group, and in 1994 she moved to the Vienna SPÖ women as state woman secretary. From 1996 Ludwig was also deputy state party secretary of the SPÖ Vienna. She ended both activities in 2006. From 2010 to 2011 she worked as a project manager for the members ' magazine “Fair Wohnen” of the Austrian tenants' association , which was produced by QMM Quality Multi Media GmbH, which also owns the free newspaper Heute .
politics
From 1981 Ludwig worked with the Socialist Youth in the district of Favoriten . In addition, she was also involved with the Vienna Regional Association of Socialist Youth and with the SPÖ women, where she later became state secretary. From 1988 to 1993 she also chaired the Socialist Youth Favoriten. She has been a member of the Favoriten District Women's Committee since 1989 and a member of the SPÖ's Federal Women's Committee since 1995. Ludwig has represented the SPÖ in the Vienna state parliament and municipal council since 1996 . In 2002 she was also a member of the Austrian Federal Council for a few days .
Private
Martina Ludwig-Faymann has been married to the former Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann since 2001 and has a daughter.
