Anita Stangl (* 4 July 1966 as Anita Siepen Koetter in Munich ) is a German entrepreneur and chess player .

Life

Anita Stangl is a chess player, divorced from lawyer and grandmaster Markus Stangl and the mother of two sons. She bears the title of FIDE Women's Champion (WFM). At the German women's blitz championship in 1987 in Thallichtenberg , she was runner-up behind Gisela Fischdick .

Stangl played in the German women's chess league from 1991 to 1996 for the Krefeld chess club Turm 1851 , in the 1996/97 season for SK Holsterhausen and in the 2016/17 season for FC Bayern Munich , where she has been active for years. Stangl has been playing for Chess Without Borders in the Austrian Women's League since 2015 . In 2015 she was the first German champion in women's rapid chess.

Anita Stangl is a trained primary school teacher. In 2006 she founded MedienLB as managing director and partner. Before that she was managing director of the FWU ( Institute for Film and Image in Science and Education ).

She has been a member of the ICEM Executive Committee since 1999 . There she was president from 2012 to 2015. In 2017 she founded the Starnberg Learning Academy .

She wrote her dissertation at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich on the topic: Development, use and evaluation of a multimedia, interactive information system using the example of an information column about elephants in Hellabrunn Zoo .
