Anja Hertel
Anja Hertel (born October 14, 1961 in Berlin ) is a Berlin SPD politician and was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1999 to 2011 . From 2012 to 2016 she was a member of the executive district committee of the SPD Neukölln .
Life
After graduating from high school in 1979, she trained as an industrial clerk at Herlitz . From 1984 to 1988 she was employed by the Krieger group of companies until, in November 1988 , she worked for a year in California , USA , as part of an exchange program at the Free University of Berlin (FUB) “Young-skilled-workers” .
After her return she studied business administration at the FU Berlin with the help of a full scholarship from the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung until 1996 and then returned to the Krieger group of companies for two years. Until 2007, Hertel worked as a commercial clerk in a small real estate financing company and then at Dachdeckerei Gusek GmbH. In 2013 she resumed her studies at the FU Berlin in the field of strategic management , which she successfully completed in 2014.

Anja Hertel has been a member of the SPD since 1977. She was the district cashier of the SPD Neukölln, district and state delegate. From 1992 to 1995 she was a member of the district assembly in the Reinickendorf district , from 1999 to 2011 a member of the Berlin House of Representatives with a thematic focus on domestic politics .
