Anja Johannsen

Anja K. Johannsen (* 1974 ) is a Germanist as well as managing director and program director of the Literary Center Göttingen .

Life

Johannsen studied German and philosophy in Berlin , Dublin , Providence (USA) and Freiburg im Breisgau . She received her doctorate in 2007 with a thesis on WG Sebald , Anne Duden and Herta Müller . She translated and proofread for domestic and foreign publishers and published on contemporary German and English literature. She taught at the universities in Berlin, Hamburg and Paderborn and worked as a freelancer from 2007 to the beginning of 2010 for the Literaturhaus Zürich . Since May 2010 she has been the managing director and program director of the Literary Center.
