Anjan is a regulated lake in Åre municipality in Jämtland County in Sweden . The lake is located south of the Skäckerfjällen plateau at 422.1 m above sea level, is 24.3 km² in size and 56.5 m deep.
The Anjan lies between the Kallsjön and the Norwegian border. Riksväg 336 runs along the north bank of the lake, which branches off from Europaväg 14 , also follows the bank of Kallsjön and crosses the border with Norway to the west of Anjan ; in Norway it turns into road no. 72 to Trondheimfjord . The elongated and narrow lake drains over the Anjeströmmen to Kallsjön, which flows off over the Järpströmmen to the Indalsälven . In the lake are the islands of Hästholmen and Barön. Anjan's Fjällstation is located on its north bank .
