Ankathie Koi (* 1983 in Burghausen , Bavaria as Kathrin Isabella Winklbauer ) is a German singer and composer .

Life

Ankathie Koi, who comes from Burghausen in Upper Bavaria, has lived in Austria since 2003. She studied jazz singing at the Linz Music University with Elfi Aichinger . She has lived in Vienna since 2009. In 2011 she founded the duo Fijuka with Judith Filimónova , which produced two pop albums with the sound of the 1980s. She has appeared as the solo project Ankathie Koi since 2015. Her solo album I Hate The Way You Chew was released in 2017.

Together with the music journalist Gerhard Stöger she curated the Popfest 2016. At the Amadeus Awards 2018 she was nominated for the FM4 Award. Winklbauer has been teaching singing at the Vienna Music University since 2018 .
