The building is located on the north side of Ankerstrasse in Magdeburg's Neue Neustadt district . To the west is the also listed building at Ankerstraße 1d .

Architecture and history

The four and a half storey building was built in the late 19th century in the neo-renaissance style. The middle of the eight-axis facade of the plastered and representative building is emphasized in a special way by the paired combination of the four central axes on the upper floors. The very small caryatids that support the cantilever plates above the windows in the four outer axes of the third floor as consoles are remarkable .

As part of the Wilhelminian style street, the house is considered significant in terms of urban development.

In the local register of monuments , the building is recorded as a residential building under registration number 094 82213.
