Ann Sicks greatest international success was participation in the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2005 in Muonio . The then 47-year-old runner finished 14th in the sprint and 13th in the pursuit and mass start races. Towards the end of the first decade of the 2000s, she successfully participated in the US championships in summer biathlon. In 2008 she won the silver medal in the sprint behind Molly Susla in Whitetail Preserve . She finished fourth in the pursuit and sixth in the mass start. In 2009 she missed a medal win in Lake Placid as fourth in the mass start. In both the sprint and the pursuit, she won the silver medals behind Stephanie Blackstone .
