Ann Southam
Ann Southam CM (born February 4, 1937 in Winnipeg , Manitoba , † November 25, 2010 in Toronto , Ontario ) was a Canadian composer .
Southam studied piano with Pierre Souvairan , composition with Samuel Dolin and electronic music with Gustav Ciamaga at the University of Toronto . She worked as a freelance composer in Toronto and composed electronic music for the Toronto Dance Theater , orchestral, chamber and piano music.
In 2010 she became a Member of the Order of Canada .
