Anna Ivanovna Trojanowskaja ( Russian Анна Ивановна Трояновская ; born November 8 . Jul / 20th November  1885 greg. In Moscow , † 1977 ) was a Russian - Soviet artist .

Life

Trojanowskaja's parents came from impoverished Szlachta families. She was the only daughter of the doctor , art collector , writer and garden friend Ivan Ivanovich Trojanowski , who had married Anna Petrovna Obninskaya, the daughter of the lawyer Pyotr Narkisowitsch Obninski , with the Bugry estate on the outskirts of the later town of Obninsk . Guests at Bugry were Isaak Ilyich Levitan (1897), Pjotr ​​Petrovich Konchalovsky with family (spring 1907), Igor Emmanuilowitsch Grabar (August 1907), Fyodor Ivanovich Chalyapin and actors from the Moscow Art Theater .

Trojanowskaja also studied singing in Italy . She then studied at the Moscow Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture . She was friends with Robert Rafailowitsch Falk .

Trojanowskaja was a student of Valentin Alexandrowitsch Serow , Leonid Ossipowitsch Pasternak , Henri Matisse and she admired El Greco . She spoke eight European languages. She sang and gave private concerts , in which Nikolai Karlovich Medtner they accompanied . Medtner left his concert grand to her when he emigrated in 1921 . She was friends with the Chaliapins, the Stanislawskis and the actress Natalja Nikolajewna Wolochowa .

Trojanovskaya lived in Moscow, remained unmarried and childless. In 1932 she sold Bugry to Pyotr Petrovich Konchalovsky.

Trojanowskaja was a friend of Svyatoslav Teofilowitsch Richter , who visited her regularly and tried her hand at pastel painting . When, after the beginning of the German-Soviet war, judge teacher Heinrich Neuhaus was arrested as a German and exiled to Sverdlovsk and Richter escaped arrest by accident, Richter lived with Neuhaus' relatives and practiced on the wing in Trojanowskajas Kommunalka . She began portraying Richter . In 1945 she painted the first portrait of a judge, which was followed by others. Her room was full of pastels, watercolors , oil paintings of landscapes and still lifes .
