Anna Judic

Anna Judic , actually Anne Damiens (born July 17, 1850 in Semur-en-Auxois , † October 14, 1911 in Golfe-Juan , Vallauris , Alpes-Maritimes ) was a French opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Judic became a saleswoman in a white goods store and, when she had a marked talent for the theater, visited the Conservatory in Paris , where she studied singing under Regnier.
She made her debut in 1867 in a small lot, sang out in the café -Concert Eldorado, 1871 in Belgium and went, returned to Paris in 1872 only at the Folies Bergère , then by Jacques Offenbach engaged at the Gaité Theater and finally to the Bouffes on .
The latter two theaters became the sites of their fame. Later she contributed a lot to the flourishing of the Théâtre des Variétés ; the beautiful Helena , Perichole, Niniche, Roussotte and similar parts are among her brilliant achievements. Judic was just as successful in London and Saint Petersburg as it was in Paris.
