Anna Kayser
Anna Kayser , pseudonym Annie Hauserhoff , (born September 1, 1885 in Hespecke near Elspe ; † October 20, 1962 there ) was a German writer from the Sauerland .
Life
Anna Kayser attended the one-class elementary school in the neighboring village of Sporke . At the age of 22 she wrote her first short stories without publishing them. It was not until 1919 that she resumed her writing after a long illness. She published regularly in the Trutznachtigall (since 1921: Heimatblätter des Kurkölnisches Sauerland ), many other Heimat papers, daily newspapers and in German Sunday and Catholic church newspapers, e.g. T. under the pseudonym Annie Hauserhoff.
She was always connected to her home in the Sauerland. For decades she was a member of the board of the Sauerland Heimatbund. High and Low German contributions are printed in many calendars and in Olper Heimatstimmen .
Like Josefa Berens-Totenohl , Christine Koch and Heinrich Luhmann , she was a member of the völkischer Sauerland Artists' Circle (SKK) founded by Georg Hermann Nellius in 1929 . In the following years, the circle was headed by Hans Menne, NSDAP member since 1924. After the transfer of power, the SSK was viewed by the NSDAP as a representative association of the Sauerland culture bearers. The “National Socialist Revolution” filled its members “with great joy”, as they announced in a joint declaration in the Westphalian Central-Volksblatt of the center . The SKK was a member of the Rosenbergs Kampfbund for German culture . Maria Kahle and Josefa Berens-Totenohl belonged to Kayser's circle of friends.
Kayser did not join the NSDAP. Their National Socialist memberships were limited according to their own statements to the Nazi women.
