from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anna von Gundelfingen (* between 1360 and 1365; † February 22, 1410 ) was an abbess of the free worldly Buchau women's monastery in today's Bad Buchau am Federsee .

Life

Anna von Gundelfingen came from Hohengundelfingen Castle, ancestral seat of the Swabian von Gundelfingen family . Her father was Stephan von Gundelfingen. She is documented as the choirwoman of Buchau for the year 1385. She sees the literature of the monastery tradition as the successor to the abbess Anna von Rüssegg in 1402. Unambiguous documents that prove Anna as abbess of the women's monastery exist from the years 1407 and 1408.

She died on February 22, 1410.
