Anna von Rüssegg

Anna von Rüssegg (* before 1371 ; † 1402 ) was an abbess of the free worldly Buchau women's monastery in today's Bad Buchau am Federsee .

Life

According to her seal, Anna von Rüssegg (also Rünsegg, Ruseck, Rinseck) came from the noble family called Rüssegg, who named themselves after the castle of the same name on the Reuss in the canton of Aargau . She was elected abbess on July 25, 1371 and the investiture by the Bishop of Constance Heinrich III. by Brandis on September 5th of the same year. The following of their actions are documented:

  • 1377 Foundation of a Holy Mass in amounts
  • 1387 Establishment of a anniversary for Anna on the day after Ascension Day
  • 1390 and 1391 agreements with Hildprant Brandenburger von Kappel

According to the tradition of the monastery, she died in 1402.
