Anne Charnock

Anne Charnock is a British science fiction writer and former journalist . She won the Arthur C. Clarke Award 2018 for Dreams Before the Start of Time . She also won the British Science Fiction Association Award 2017 in the “Short Form” category for The Enclave .

Life

Charnock studied Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia and graduated from the Manchester School of Art with a Master of Fine Arts . She has been a science journalist for The Guardian and New Scientist and a foreign correspondent in the Middle East, Africa and India. She is married to a journalist. In 2018 she was a juror for the James White Award .
