Anne Elisabet Jensen

Anne Elisabet Jensen (born August 17, 1951 in Kalundborg ) is a Danish politician and economist.

Professional background

  • 1978: Degree in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen
  • 1978–1984: Economist (department head) at Privatbanken A / S
  • 1985–1994: Chief economist at private banks / Unibank
  • 1994–1996: Director of the Dansk Arbejdsgiverforening employers' association
  • 1996–1998: Editor-in-chief of Berlingske Tidende

Europe

From 1999 to 2014 Jensen was a member of the European Parliament of the Danish party Venstre , in the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). She was a member of the European Parliament's Committee on Budgets . She was also deputy for the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs .

In 2018 she was appointed European coordinator for the trans-European transport corridor “Baltic Sea to Adriatic” by the European Commission .
